There is nothing more cozy than a plate of clear hot broth. And not every evening you want to spend at the kitchen table ... Sometimes you want to sit in an armchair in front of the TV, wrapped in a soft blanket. But such a dinner faces a serious danger of getting burned, because holding a hot bowl is so uncomfortable! There is an exit. Simply sew a special stand for a hot bowl, which not only protects your hands, but also becomes a real table decoration.

For work you will need:

  • cotton fabric;
  • batting;
  • pins;
  • water based marker (washable);
  • ruler;
  • sharp scissors.

Step 1

Cut squares out of cotton fabric. In this project, they were 30x30 centimeters. Place cotton under the cotton squares. Cotton should be put face up.

Step 2

Sew all layers diagonally, starting from one corner to another. Then repeat the same operation, connecting opposite corners. You should get the letter "X".

This is how the stand should look like at this stage.

Sew the second part of the stand in exactly the same way.

Step 3

Fold the napkin in half lengthwise and draw a line to cut the corner. To do this, mark two and a half centimeters on one side (along the edge) and 5 centimeters on the other (middle). Combine these two points with a straight line. Repeat the same on the bottom corner of the folded edge.

Step 4

Now flash through the marks. Secure the seam on both sides so that it is strong.

Step 5

Cut off the edges of the corners with sharp scissors, leaving a 0.5 cm indentation.

Step 6

Now fold the stand in the other direction and mark the corners in the same way.

Step 7

Sew the corners and cut off the extra edges.

Step 8

Repeat all operations with the second part of the stand.

Step 9

Unroll the stand and give it a bowl.

Step 10

Select the part that will be inside out and turn it inside out.

Step 11

Fold the two parts of the stand with the front sides inward, as shown in the photo. Secure all edges with pins.

Step 12

Sew all edges, leaving one piece open.

Step 13

Carefully remove the stand through the open edge. You can help yourself with scissors with rounded edges.

Step 14

Pin up the edges of the open cut, tucking them inside.

Step 15

Now sew the remaining edge on the typewriter.

Your stand is ready. You can put a bowl in it. Now keep the soup will be very convenient.
