What do you know about how to choose bottled water? Probably at the bottom (if there is no deformation or unintended sediment) and at the cork (if its integrity is preserved). It turns out that this is not enough to protect themselves from harm.

A plastic bottle usually has a record of what plastic raw material it was made from. Know this must be! Since any inorganic material can release into the liquid different chemicals, hazardous and not so. And if you look at the label, then there will definitely find a special designation in the form of Latin letters. If you are not a chemist, they will not tell you anything. And our task is to enlighten you in this important area.

The “PET” or “PETE” icon means that there is a disposable bottle in front of you, releasing a lot of nasty things in its contents, such as: types of heavy metals and a lot of substances that can damage your hormonal balance.

Unfortunately, PET is the most popular plastic on the planet. The most important thing that should be carefully remembered is that a bottle of one-no-ra-so-va-i !!! This means that after consuming the purchased liquid, it must be EXTENDED! Pouring water into it or something else is absolutely contraindicated, because in this case, besides water, you swallow alkalis and the darkness of bacteria, which gladly multiply on PET type plastic.

But HDP or HDPE - absolutely harmless! They will not "enrich" you with any harmful substances. Therefore, if possible, buy a drink in a container with just such a label. Firstly, you risk nothing, and secondly, you care about the environment because such plastic is recyclable.

It is hard to touch, it is used to pack dairy products, dishwashing liquids and kitchen surfaces, baths.

PVC or V - dangerous because may release hazardous chemicals that affect the activity of the endocrine glands and hormones.

This is a soft, flexible plastic, which is packed with vegetable oil, toys. And it is also used to pack a whole heap of consumer goods, including garden hoses, window frames (PVC is durable and not exposed to aggressive sunlight and general weather). They sheathe cables for computers. But if there is an alternative, it is better not to buy.

LDPE is a good plastic because it does not “enrich” with chemicals the products packaged in it. If a bottle is made from it, then you can buy it - there will be no harm. But if a packaging bag is made of it, then it is not worth it. And in general, I advise you not to buy store packaging bags: there are too many chemicals in them that can damage your heart.

PP packs syrups, yogurts. Usually it is white, but it can also be translucent. One of the main properties of polypropylene is temperature resistance: it does not undergo melting. But it’s still impossible to call him absolutely safe.

PS is used to produce disposable coffee cups. From it make containers for fast food. Danger it is only in a heated state. If you do not warm it, then there is nothing to fear. In the packaging of polystyrene can not store hot food or drinks. But it is often used because it is considered an inexpensive, lightweight and durable type of plastic.

PC (polycarbonate) - just poison! Despite this, this plastic is used in the manufacture of bottles and containers for food. Make from it and food storage containers. But you can not use them! Polycarbonate contains a substance called bisphenol A, which has a detrimental effect on your endocrine system, preventing the production of estrogen.

And the last. Want to be healthy and live long? Then choose a glass container, since it will not harm you.
